

Matthew was the executive producer for this ten-song, self-titled project for The Band Crossroads. This project collaborated with musicians from both New Mexico and Texas. The self-titled album features one of the few Tejana orchestras with a female vocalist, blending brassy, dynamic influences into the genre. This project earned The Band Crossroads multiple music nominations and awards, and even made it onto the Grammy ballot in 2006.

"Nuevo Dia," a salsa cover, was recorded after Crossroads performed it live for over two years. Featuring over 29 tracks, it was Matthew’s largest music production to date.

"Mi Soledad" is a traditional style Ranchera commonly played in Tejano style music. This song was written by Gilbert Lopez, the father of Jerry Lopez, who personally gave Matthew a handwritten letter granting permission to cover the song before it was recorded.

"Cuantas Veces" was a cover inspired by a rendition sung by his friend Ruben Cubillos, who was originally slated to record vocals.
